1. Who runs PodVplivom
PodVplivom is a privately run, non-commercial service. There is no company behind it. The person who runs it is the controller of your personal data. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].
2. What we collect
- Account data from Google sign-in: your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture link.
- Profile settings: your leaderboard name, language, time zone and leaderboard visibility.
- Drinking data: every drink you log (type, volume, alcohol content, time, optional note), plus totals, statistics and badges calculated from it.
- Drive-home data: your answers to the drive-home check and the blood-alcohol estimate shown at that moment. If you enter them, also your weight, sex and whether you are a zero-tolerance driver.
- Groups: which groups you created or joined.
- Feedback you send us, with the page you sent it from and your browser type.
- Technical data: your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. These appear in server logs and are used for rate limiting and security.
Information about how much alcohol you drink, and the estimates based on it, can be health data, which the GDPR treats as a special category. We process it only with your explicit consent.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To run your account and the app (sign-in, logging drinks, statistics, badges, groups, leaderboards): necessary to provide the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Drinking data, weight, sex and alcohol estimates: your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), given when you start using the app.
- Security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting (logs, rate limits, admin audit log): our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Feedback: our legitimate interest in answering you and improving the app.
We do not sell your data. We don't use it for advertising or profiling, and we make no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Blood-alcohol estimates are only shown to you as rough information.
4. Who can see your data
- Other users see your leaderboard name, profile picture and drinking totals on leaderboards (globally, unless you turn this off in Profile) and in groups you join. Your email is never shown to other users.
- The administrator of the service can see account data and entries in order to run the service and handle abuse.
- Google handles sign-in. Your profile picture is loaded directly from Google's servers, so Google receives your IP address when the picture is shown.
- Cloudflare carries all traffic to the app (network and security provider) and therefore processes your IP address and requests.
Google and Cloudflare may process data outside the EU, including in the USA. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account (Profile → Delete account), your account, drinks, badges, drive-home answers and group memberships are deleted immediately. Feedback you sent stays, but is no longer linked to you. Database backups, if any, are overwritten over time.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- access your data and get a copy of it (Profile → Download my data);
- correct it (edit entries and profile in the app, or write to us);
- delete it (Profile → Delete account);
- data portability (the download is a machine-readable JSON file);
- restrict processing or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account or writing to us. Withdrawal doesn't affect processing done before it.
To exercise your rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In Slovenia, that is the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec, www.ip-rs.si).
7. Cookies
We use no tracking or advertising cookies and no analytics. We only use:
- Authorization: keeps you logged in (up to 30 days). Strictly necessary.
- lang: remembers your language before you log in (1 year).
Cloudflare may set its own strictly necessary security cookies.
8. Age
PodVplivom is only for people of legal drinking age, and never for anyone under 18. If we learn that a minor has an account, we delete it.
9. Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will ask you to review and accept it again the next time you open the app.
